EXP SUPPORTS TROOPS OVERSEAS WITH CARE PACKAGE PROGRAM

EXP Pharmaceutical Services Corp. provides pharmaceutical returns services to nearly 65% of all US hospitals and now, since the release of the new DOD/DVA contract in late 2007, provides pharmaceutical returns services for 50% of all Federal Government facilities.

But that’s not all! The blending of these two successes now comes together for a new project undertaken by the EXP employees. A collection container has been set up at the EXP Central Processing Facility in Fremont, CA, and a contribution program has been established for our nationwide field personnel. These opportunities have allowed the EXP employees to contribute to the EXP Care Package Program.

The collected money was used for a shipment of DVDs, Play Station and X-Box games, cookies and various non-perishable items sent to the men and women currently being treated in military hospitals in Iraq. Through the Chief of Medical Logistics, these supplies will be received in early May.

Captain Scott Miller states, “Other than the obvious medical treatment necessary, boredom and limited contact back home is a challenge. These types of gifts are a real treat for these troops and bring smiles to many faces.”

Larry Peterson, Director of Government Accounts for EXP said,“I am really proud of the EXP community to do something like this. Not only did we help the wounded soldiers, we also sent some goodies to the medical treatment staff who are working 12 hour days, 7 days a week. One item we sent to several of them was the newly-minted EXP Customer Challenge Coin, just to say thank you for your service.”

The contributions of the many EXP employees were matched with a contribution from EXP corporate. While this is the first EXP Care Package sent, it will not be the last. Plans are already underway for another.

It was a surprise to all of us, when some, including our vendors, who had heard about this program asked how they could get involved. If you would like to contribute, send an email to carepackage@expworld.com
